About Us

Wendy Lutter and Stephanie Ross are the women behind Empoword. Their friendship, lives and the creation of Empoword are testimony to the power of how one right word can manifest change and help realize a goal.

Holistic wellness practitioner, Stephanie Ross has long been a believer in the body-mind-wellness connection. In her practice with clients, as well as among her friends and in her own life, Stephanie noted the challenge of sustaining personal growth and transformation efforts.

“We try a new exercise program, constructive behavior or healthy diet with an invigorating start. But all too soon, effort and focus wane,” notes Stephanie.

Stephanie was determined to develop an easy-to-use, quick, sustainable, personal growth and transformation tool. The concept behind Empoword centered on Stephanie’s own belief, and significant science and wellness research, that mantras and visualization can result in desired change.

Words like “focus,” “strength,” and “gratitude,” kept driving Stephanie forward, as she tackled the logistics of launching Empoword.

Her creative vision was coming to fruition. But, Stephanie really wanted a business partner. She didn't have to look far for the right person: Wendy Lutter, long a close friend, had used focus words and visualization as a marathoner and competitive athlete. Her background in small business and marketing didn't hurt either.

Once the partnership was official, both women marveled at how they had been “testing” the Empoword concept for years. Wendy and Stephanie had used visual mantras, positive affirmations and guided imagery to deal with life-threatening illness, family struggles, grief and loss, and to attain personal and professional goals. It had worked for them, and they knew it would work for others.
